Join your community resource hub. Below is a complete list of the specialized administrative services, research assistance, and borrowing options we offer on-site, along with details on how to register for your free library account.

Library Cards

Forman Valley Public Library is a district library, meaning, our boundary lines are the same as the school district. If you live within this zone (your children will attend Midwest Central Schools), you are considered an In-District card. If you are outside of this zone (your children does not attend Midwest Central Schools) then you are considered a Non-Resident.

If you are unsure if you are in our district, you can follow the link below and search your address in the system. It will tell you if you are in a library district and if so, which one (if it does not show a library then you are considered a non-resident):

18 years and older:

  • Have a picture ID with your current address. If your ID does not have your current address, then a picture ID with a bill with your name and current address on it.

Under 18 years old:

  • Parent/guardian will have to obtain a library card first, then sign for a card for the minor.
  • A child must be enrolled in kindergarten to be eligible for a library card.

Non-Resident Cards (does NOT pay taxes to library):

Households are required to pay a fee of $60.00 per year to obtain a library card. This $60.00 will allow every member in the home to obtain a card.

18 years and older:
